Earthquake and Hydrometeorological Disaster Awareness and Preparedness Webinar for UI Members – Collaboration with Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency

According to data from the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), during January 1 – April 4, 2021 in Indonesia there were 1,030 disasters consisting of earthquakes, floods, tornadoes, landslides, forest and land fires, droughts and tidal waves & abrasion. Based on these data, the types of disasters can be grouped into geological disasters (earthquakes) and hydrometeorological disasters (disasters caused by meteorological parameters such as rainfall, humidity, temperature, wind). Therefore, UPT K3L invited resource persons from the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency to convey useful information related to early warning and disaster mitigation. This activity aims to increase awareness and disaster preparedness for all UI members.
